The Thermal Insulation Planning is a plan that must be elaborated in the context of the issue of the building license, for all new and radically renovated buildings, in which the Building Energy Efficiency Regulation does not entirety apply and specifically in :

• Industrial facilities, handicrafts, workshops.
• Temporary use buildings that based on their design the duration of their use does not exceed two (2) years.
• Warehouses, car parks, gas stations, agricultural buildings.
• Individual buildings, with a total usable area of less than fifty square meters (50 sq.m.) for which only the minimum requirements provided by KENAK apply.

The aim of the Thermal Insulation Planning is the calculation and design of the installation and the integration in the shell of the respective building of thermal insulation materials in order to ensure:

• The optimal quality of life and work of the tenants.
• Rational energy consumption and cost savings for both heating and air conditioning.
• Limiting the necessary initial cost for the construction of heating and air conditioning facilities.
• The protection of the structures that make up the shell of the building (walls, ceilings, floors, frames) from fluctuations in the temperature of the external environment.
• The reduction of air pollution from the exhaust gases with the smooth but also reduced operation of the heating and air conditioning systems due to the significant reduction of heat losses and cooling loads achieved through the thermal insulation of the building shell.
